The GCISD PTA Scholarship Common App will accept applications from Monday, December 4th, 2023 to February 29th, 2024. GCISD Seniors may apply for all PTA GCISD PTA scholarships with this one application.
ABOUT THE GCISD PTA SCHOLARSHIP COMMON APPLICATION:
The GCISD Council of PTAs works with our local campus PTAs to provide an electronic common application for any eligible GCISD senior to apply for scholarships offered through all of our GCISD PTAs. In the spring of 2023, we had 80 individuals apply through the portal, generating over 270 scholarship applications. Our PTAs awarded 59 individual scholarships totaling $39,500 to members of the class of 2023.
Part of our process is the awarding of scholarships from the Council of PTAs. From a pool of 69 applicants, seven GCISD seniors in the Class of 2023 received scholarships from our Council. Their academic achievements were impeccable and the Council also considered community service, campus activities and leadership, work experience and special circumstances where applicable. Each applicant also submitted multiple essays. There is no question these students were well deserving of this recognition.

All GCISD Seniors are encouraged to apply for scholarships at each campus they have attended during their time in GCISD. The Common App is open from December 4th, 2023 to February 29th, 2024. All scholarship winners will be notified prior to the end of the 2023-2024 school year with monetary awards being paid directly to the winner’s choice for their continuing education.
