Volunteers served 135,400 hours in GCISD in 2014-15

Last year, district wide, our committed volunteers worked 135,400 volunteer hours. That equates to around 65 full time employees. Multiply 65 employees by minumum wage ($15,080) and our volunteers saved the district – $980,200. Multiply 65 employees by the median annual wage in Texas ($45,330) and our volunteers saved the district- $2,946,450.
